We seek one community-oriented scholar or other visitor for each cozy dwelling at our convenient Berkeley home. Housemates are a grad student, a pet carer, and a fiction editor.
Your room has a bed, a desk, a fridge, drawers and closet space for your clothes, linens, plenty of heat, plenty of light, and high-speed Internet. You also share a great kitchen, laundry, den, backyard, a shady patio, a sunny patio, and a covered patio. We have two and a half bathrooms, including a full bath right next to Room II and another full bath right next to the Cabin.
In addition, Room I looks directly out on the fenced front garden.
Room II not available
From this lovely room the two windows look out on greenery. This 10 x 12 room is at the back of the house, away from the quiet street. It has brand new windows and climate controls, and is extra arty.

Room I
This sunny room is the largest in our house at approximately 13 x 16 feet. It has a coffered ceiling, an arched doorway, and a tiled non-working fireplace. Three of its five large windows look out on the fenced front garden.

Strongly prefer a full-time worker or scholar. Visitors to the Bay Area are welcome.
There is reliable on-street parking next to the house. Nearby are BART and buses. We are one BART stop from campus, and when I was there regularly, it took me about seven minutes between campus and here by bike.
Here are the answers to some questions I am often asked:
* We have lived here since 1987.
* One of us is an editor and the other cares for pets at the pets' homes.
* The editor is a she/her and the pet guy is a he/him.
* We keep things neat, and we clean regularly.

* We are friendly, but not overbearing, and like wordplay. At least one of us is a smarty-pants. We are auditioning others.
